Every gram, accounted for. At every bench.
A ring changes hands ten times between the wax bench and the finished shelf. Gold Manufacturing puts the whole piece on one Odoo record — the order, every station, a weight at every handover, the gold recovered — and numbers it into stock.

The problem
Workshops don't lose money on the hard pieces. They lose it half a gram at a time.
Eight patterns we find in almost every workshop still running on paper travelers, a whiteboard and a separate accounts package.
Metal is issued to a bench, some comes back, some is recovered and some is simply gone. At month-end the vault and the books disagree, and nobody can say where.
Where every piece is, and who has it, lives on a board in the corridor and in the memory of the person who runs the floor. Ask on their day off.
A piece comes out light. Which bench? Which day? Whose hands? Without a weight at every handover, the loss surfaces at the last station, long after the cause moved on.
The metal cut off a casting tree is real gold with real value. If it isn't weighed and booked at the bench, it's a rounding error that leaves the building.
A wax model printed three times cost three times. Counted once, the piece that went wrong looks like the cheapest one you made.
Three rings on one order, one of them cracked, and all three wait. The customer is told the whole order is late.
The gold price moved this morning. The price list moves whenever somebody remembers to rebuild the spreadsheet.
A customer's ring comes over the counter with no document. Whose gold is in the workshop — and how much of ours went into it?
The core
Sale order to finished, numbered stock — on one document.
A confirmed sale line raises a manufacturing order. Released, it builds its own station chain from the design type — cast, laser-cut, or both — and the piece travels bench to bench on two clicks per station.
The sale line raises the manufacturing order.
The station chain is built for that design; the first bench opens.
Receive & Confirm starts the work — the moment custody changes hands.
Output weighed, recovered gold booked, piece handed to the next bench.
Serial numbers assigned; Odoo's own MO posts the accounting.
Who held the piece at each bench, what it weighed there, what it consumed and what came back — on the manufacturing order raised from the sale line.
Cast, laser-cut and combined pieces each travel their own station chain automatically, from the design type on the product. No routing to pick.
A handover tolerance at receipt, a loss tolerance at completion, and a ceiling on recovered gold — each set per station, each able to warn or block.
Every live piece, its station chain drawn as circles, the person at the bench, a live timer — and red where a station has run over its allowed time.
Every movement is an ordinary Odoo transfer between real locations. Valuation and the ledger stay native — nothing reimplemented, no gram counted twice.
Stations, locations, tolerances, allowed times and the people at each bench are master data. A supervisor changes a tolerance, not a developer.
Where it pays for itself
The arithmetic has to close — at the bench that caused it.
A weight is taken at every bench. When the numbers don't add up, the system says so at that bench, not three stations later.
Three per cent lost while working metal is ordinary. Three per cent missing between two benches is not. Handover is checked at receipt, loss at completion — each against its own limit.
The metal off the casting tree and the goldsmith's bench is weighed, booked as stock, and grouped by the table it came from.
One manufacturing order: the weight at every station, and the recovered gold grouped by the table it came off.
How it's packaged
One core. Add-ons you switch on when the workshop needs them.
Every add-on extends the same manufacturing record, so the core is required. Each add-on is licensed separately — you pay only for the parts of the workshop you actually run.
The order, the station chain, a weight at every bench, recovered gold and loss, the production board, and native Odoo stock and accounting. Runs on Odoo Enterprise, fully bilingual in Arabic and English.
Every table becomes a stock location. A job takes what the table already holds and issues only the shortfall from the store.
For workshops where goldsmiths work at their own tables.
Timed, signed-off sub-steps inside a station, and a rework loop that keeps the cost of every attempt.
For stations where the work is really several jobs.
A casting pool drawn on by carat, sprue booked as recovered gold, or casting sent to a subcontractor.
For workshops that cast in-house, send it out, or both.
Gold and stones entered per piece against its engraved number — and carried on that serial for life.
For anyone making more than one piece per order.
Split the order where a piece broke. The rest carry on; the rework stays urgent on the same customer line.
For workshops making batches.
Customer gold in and back out on its own record. Metal added is issued on a transfer of its own.
For any workshop with a counter.
Carats, stones and item codes as master data; a daily metal rate drives replacement cost and selling price.
For anyone whose price moves with the metal.
What a piece really cost, built from what the stations recorded — with a selling-price version of the same sheet.
For whoever has to price the piece.
Where the metal actually is: one row per location, in and out, valued at today's rate.
For the owner, and whoever counts the gold.
One A4 sheet per piece for the tray: barcode, photo, design, metal, stations and what each consumes.
For floors that still want paper with the job.
Service lines raised onto the subcontractor's PO; net pure gold sent out tracked per subcontractor.
For workshops that send work out.
Barcoded assets with location, department and holder — every move kept as transfer history.
For workshops with valuable tools on the floor.
Invoices, sale orders, retail receipts and transfer documents in your own layout.
For retail counters and trade customers.
A reusable design template that carries its components and route, and generates a product's full chain.
For workshops launching many new designs.
Every add-on requires the core. Any add-on can be taken on its own.
Inside the product
Real screens, from a working system.

- A station takes what the table holds and issues only the shortfall
- Two jobs at one table can't be promised the same stones
- A hard stop names the table where the missing material is standing
The difference between a workshop that reconciles and one where gold sits in three places and none of it adds up.

- A real timer banks time worked, not wall-clock time
- The station can't complete while a compulsory sub-step is open
- "Start again from here" keeps the cost of every attempt
A broken wax model is the most expensive thing that never shows up in a report. Here it does.

- Split at the station where it broke, naming how many and why
- The rework keeps the original date and sorts to the top
- Both orders stay on the same customer sale line
The piece that went wrong is the one that needs finding fastest. It's the only thing on the board that moves.

- Received from the customer's own stock, so repairs never inflate yours
- Metal added is issued from stock on a transfer of its own
- Filings off a customer's ring are never booked as your recovered gold
The repair counter is where gold quietly goes missing. This closes it.

- One row per location: on hand, in and out, over any period
- Valued at today's rate; filter to gold or recovered gold
- Stations with their benches nested underneath
The vault, the benches and the finished shelf on one page, at today's price.
Where to start
Three starting points. Priced against your workshop.
These are the combinations workshops most often begin with. Any add-on can be added later.
A workshop replacing paper travelers and a whiteboard, that wants the order-to-finished-stock flow working first.

Every price is quoted, never listed. Licensing depends on how many benches, stations and users the workshop runs; implementation on what has to be migrated. We quote both against a written scope.
Why NavyBits
Built, not promised. On standard Odoo.
Recovered gold, handover tolerance, bench stock, per-piece weight, casting loss — detail a generic manufacturing module doesn't carry.
Order, transfers, invoice, customer and stock are rows in the same Odoo database. Add POS, e-commerce or payroll later — same platform.
Standard Odoo underneath. The code is open to you, and your variations are delivered as normal development.
Licensing, implementation, document layouts, training and support — all through NavyBits.

How an implementation runs
We walk the floor with you: stations, benches, who does what, where metal is kept and how loss is handled. Output: a written scope.
Stations, locations, benches, tolerances, allowed times, carats, materials and the chart of accounts.
Products, designs, BOMs, customers and opening stock — reconciled against a physical count before go-live.
Separate sessions for the bench, the storekeeper, the supervisor and the office, with written procedures.
A live pilot on a limited set of designs beside your current method, then a controlled cut-over with our people on the floor.
Ongoing support, version upgrades and a prioritized backlog of refinements.
Customization is expected, not exceptional. No two workshops number their stations, charge setting, or define "recoverable" the same way.
See it run on your own bench.
Book a working demonstration and we'll model two of your own designs — one cast, one laser-cut — from the customer order through the stations to finished, weighed, numbered stock.
Core and add-ons licensed separately. Implementation and support quoted per scope.
A 30-minute call on how the workshop runs today.
Your designs, your stations, your own loss figures.
Core plus the add-ons you actually need, with a timeline.
